Beach day and family time with our kids in China

One more wonderful day with these amazing kids before leaving.  Today was a “free” day where we got to send some time at the park and have tons of fun together getting to know each other more.

My last day with kids before I leave for Beijing I decided to take them and many of their parents to the park. This is very special for them as most of them are poor migrant workers and don’t get this kind of opportunity. I was so blessed to see the joy in the kids and their parents.

When we arrived at the park the kids hit the beach. What a blast it was to watch them play.

Smiles that can’t be contained

After the beach we walked over to the pavilion for a Chinese BBQ. We BBQ and ate for about three hours. It’s great family time, we take our chop sticks and eat right off the BBQ. During this time every one of the parents came to me said how grateful they were for the pre-school and how it has changed their children’s lives and theirs as well. One of the teachers shared with me that when the kids first come to the pre-school they have such a sad look on their face but it only takes a short while before that sadness is replaced with joy. This is a testament to the great job Xiao Shuang and her teachers are doing and how much they genuinely love and care for these kids.

Group picture before we left the park and I said good-bye to everyone. It was a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Thanking God so much for this amazing trip!
