Hands Giving Hope provides Medical Supplies to Organizacion Christiana De Beneficio Social Esperanza De Vida Children’s Hospital (St. Lukes) located in Rio Hondo, Zacapa Guatemala, which serves over 12,000 patients annually with services provided 24 hours every day.

These supplies help their Baby Rescue program where 3,000 children on the brink of starvation are brought to the St. Lukes Hospital each year.  These sick children are found in some of the most remote areas of Guatemala and are transported by burro, canoe and truck.  Many stay at the St. Lukes Nutritional Center for weeks, others are abandoned by their parents and are given a home in the children’s home, and some have dire needs that they must be sent to far away hospitals in an effort to save their lives.
